During his studies in New York more than ten years ago, Ming-Jen Hsu developed a media exploration mode based on paper and pulp. At the same time, he used the form of sketch as a means to open up his creative language. From figurative to non-figurative, from charcoal-based monochrome painting to the full-color abstract interest, the choice of media and the appropriateness of mastery, for Ming-Jen Hsu, are related to the search for the spiritual appearance of a painting. By dismantling the frame and form of traditional painting, he is eager to return to the best state of simplicity and directness, which expresses the infinite imagination in visual depth.
