▍Artist 蘇誼亭 Yi-Ting Su
In my works, I use fiber images and paintings as a carrier, carrying images of my city landscapes, to recreate both blur and clear visions of real life in the form of repeated stacking of both media of time and materials of paintings. Viewers browse pictures and relate familiar landscapes to their own experience, imaging the meaning and relationships inside and outside the frame.
My recent projects will be representing installations made of painting, fiber image, and photography to unfold others’ and my walking experience. I was curious about the city’s history that I lived in. Because it changed really fast. I will collect city ruins to do field research. Apart from my own research, I also study other’s traveling experience for my work text. Through others’ views, I see different versions of the same city landscapes.
