《 With You, I am Home 》Danym Solo Exhibition

Home does not always mean a physical place.

To me, home is the feeling I return to when I think of my child’s quiet nap, a peaceful weekend afternoon spent with someone I love, a shoulder that feels natural to lean on, or a familiar path I walk alone.

In my paintings, soft layers of clothing fold and overlap like memories carefully kept. Within them are walking paths, night skies, small houses, books, children and pets, and the gestures of those I love. Gentle colors and recurring patterns softly embrace these small yet precious moments, while the figures remain close to one another, sharing a quiet sense of intimacy and companionship.

For me, these scenes are not simply recollections of days gone by. They are the things I wish to hold close, care for, and carry with me.

After passing through an unexpected season of life, I came to understand more deeply how precious, and how fragile, ordinary days can be. The moments we often overlook—a walk together, a warm glance, waiting, staying close, or simply sitting beside someone in silence—have become a quiet source of strength and gratitude in my life.

I have come to believe that love is rarely a grand event. Instead, it lives in the gentle acts of care and attention that are repeated throughout everyday life.

These small yet meaningful moments are folded into my paintings, layer by layer, becoming soft landscapes of memory and affection. The “home” that appears in my work is not defined by walls or a roof, but by a sense of comfort built through memory, care, and love.

With You, I Am Home is a reflection on the quiet ease that comes from being together.

Sometimes, home is found beside the people we love.
Sometimes, it is discovered in the quiet companionship of nature.

And perhaps, when we pause long enough to notice these simple yet meaningful moments, we begin to realize—

Home is not a place.

Home is being with you.
