The artist preserves stones collected from around the world, suspending them outside the flow of time as symbols of condensed memories and emotions. Under the illumination of light, these floating rocks appear to drift through an inner dimension of time and space, while the small human figures represent the multitude of human experiences—each searching for direction and meaning. The work invites viewers to reflect on the connection between themselves and their inner worlds.
The series began with a piece of marble abandoned in a corner. The artist wondered whether it, too, longed to be seen. He split the stone open, allowing light to surge through its fissures and draw people toward it. In that moment, he realized that every silent stone tucked away in a corner might harbor a wish to be noticed—and that his task is to reveal their stories through the patterns created by each break.
The artist once felt as though he were living inside a dark cave, facing the unknown and repeatedly wanting to stop, unsure where the courage for this journey came from. Yet the stones that lit up the path eased his anxiety and doubt, bringing him clarity:
“Only by continuing to follow the light can we discover where the path leads.”
