“City Daily Life Series”
After a period of creation, the “window” has, almost unconsciously, become an important element in my works. I position the act of field investigation within myself—when my body moves and shifts, I record the urban landscapes I encounter. Rather than saying I am looking at the scenery, it is more accurate to say that I am experiencing it from within. In the paintings, buildings dissolve into misty rain scenes, and the images gradually vanish with the movement of vehicles, just as traces of buildings and people fade away after urban renewal and railway elevation.
