透過作品，讓人們理解並肯定人類生存之「美」，同時也能意識到自己在日常中，可能會僅憑表面印象來判斷他人所產生的無意識偏見。

人有「展現出來」的情感＝表層，與「不展現」的情感＝深層，並在控制這些情感的同時，構築出所謂的「自我形象」。
我將這些視為不同的「層次（layer）」，以「人的情感」作為創作概念進行作品製作。
例如八面玲瓏、見風轉舵等人們不自覺展現出的樣貌，或是被他人要求所謂「真實的自己」時所呈現的樣子，這些展現出來與不願展現（不想被看見）的形象之間的心境差異，正反映了人們為了在社會中生存所擁有的堅強，以及為了體貼他人而展現的溫柔，我相信這其中蘊含著人類生存的「美」。
為了表達這樣的想法，我選擇與人類相反、能夠忠實於本心生活的動物作為創作的輪廓，再加上象徵虛假笑容的「表情符號（emoji）」，製造出違和感，藉此將人類「展現的」情感＝表層與「不展現的」情感＝深層之間的落差，以鏡像的方式投射在動物身上加以描繪。
希望透過作品，讓人們理解並肯定人類生存之「美」，同時也能意識到自己在日常中，可能會僅憑表面印象來判斷他人所產生的無意識偏見。
